Judith Szepesi is a registered patent attorney and a partner at Nicholson De Vos Webster & Elliott LLP. Her goal is to help clients get the best value for their money and establish a useful and cohesive IP portfolio that aligns with their business goals. To do this, she delves deeply into each of her clients’ industries and business goals, and uses that foundation to create practical solutions for her clients.
Her electrical engineering background, and years of experience ensures that she can assist clients in identifying and protecting their intellectual property. She primarily works in the software, hardware, security, and telecommunications industries, and offers a broad range of services. In addition to advising clients on the creation of patent portfolios, she is involved in preparation and prosecution of patent applications, design of patent programs, review and evaluation of patent portfolios, negotiation and writing of licenses, due diligence, open source licensing compliance and policy design, and writing opinions regarding patent validity and infringement. Judith delivers practical high-tech intellectual property legal solutions that fit seamlessly into her clients’ businesses because Judith believes in investing in and building her client relationships into true partnerships. This foundation gives Judith the perspective to see an IP issue in the context of her clients’ short and long term goals – so she not only solves today’s problems but also anticipates future issues. Judith does this by leveraging over 20 years of experience solving complex IP issues for her clients – in prosecution, strategic advice, due diligence, and licensing. Focused solely on IP, Judith protects her clients’ ideas, maximizes the value of and return on their IP investments, manages risks posed by competitors’ IP, and designs and monitors litigation strategy. |
